Open Competition General Information

Short Story Open Competition 2020/21 - Information and Prizes for the authors within you

What We are looking for:

If you're an author over the age of 18, your own imaginations are the only constraints for the open competition for 2020/21 and your stories can be on any theme of your own choice.

Length
  • Between 1,500 and 1,800 words. 

  • Font to be used: Times New Roman 12

Closing date: 1st March 2021

The Prizes:

  • 1 st prize is a £100 cash prize

  • 2 nd prize is a £50 cash prize

  • 3 rd prize is a £30 cash prize

Judging

A short-list of authors will be drawn by experienced readers from our writing group's committee which will then be passed to our independent guest judge to adjudicate.

Please Remember

The entry fee is £5 for a single story and £2.50 for every entry thereafter (e.g £7.50 for two, £10 for three, etc.)
